Decoding Dyslexia

Decoding Dyslexia – Texas is a grassroots movement driven by Texas families concerned with the limited access to educational interventions for dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities within our schools. The mission is to raise dyslexia awareness, empower families to support their children, and inform policy-makers on best practices to identify, remediate and support students with dyslexia in Texas schools.  Decoding Dyslexia has a strong history of working collaboratively with parents and professionals.  Learn more at www.ddtx.org  and www.decodingdyslexia.net.

Decoding Dyslexia – Park Cities (DDPC) is open to all parents who reside in Highland Park ISD, whether their children attend district schools, private school, or are homeschooled. Some meetings directly focus on HPISD, but the group always has time to provide general support to any parent.  The group is led by neighborhood parents and also benefits from support provided by volunteers with Decoding Dyslexia Texas, Robbi Cooper, Sara Furlich and Christine Chien.  Educational parent meetings occur the first Tuesday of most months, and guest speakers provide information on a variety of topics related to children with dyslexia. The meetings also give parents an opportunity to learn from and support each other.  Click here to learn more about Decoding Dyslexia Park Cities.
